“I Should’ve Said Something” - Homestuck fan music for Jane

This is a piece I wrote around a riff I came up with about a year ago, and I thought it worked really well for expressing the way Jane felt back then, and the subsequent lonely journey through her planet with just Lil’ Seb to guide her.

The opening theme is repeated throughout the song, but it is accented in different ways, giving it new context. Just like how “I should’ve said something” can have different implications based on how you emphasize the words, I tried to focus on putting the same thing into different contexts.
